CHICAGO — Police said a man has been charged after he shot another man in December on the West Side.
James Wilson, 30, of Forest Park, was charged with first-degree murder, cops said Thursday.
He's accused of killing 33-year-old Barnett Adams, who police initially said was shot during an argument with a group of men in the 5600 block of West Chicago Avenue on Dec. 19.
Adams, of the 600 block of North Waller Avenue, was struck in his leg and shoulder about 5:10 p.m. and pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital about an hour later, authorities said.
Wilson was arrested by Chicago's Fugitive Apprehension Unit in Urbana after being identified as the shooter, according to police.
He's scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
