CHICAGO — A man was arrested Sunday after being stabbed inside of a Back of the Yards home he broke into, police said.

Jalal Malone, 26, was charged with three felony counts of armed home invasion for the incident that occurred at 12:40 p.m. Sunday in the 5200 block of South Wolcott Avenue, police said.

Malone, of the 600 block of West 63rd Street in Englewood, entered the home with a handgun. Three people were inside at the time: a 17-year-old girl, a 54-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman.

Armed with a knife, the man fought with Malone and stabbed him. Malone fled the home, but was arrested nearby and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for treatment.
