The Devilish Winks at The Tonic Room, 2447 N. Halsted St., at 8 p.m.

Take in a free concert and check out the six-member band featuring a blend of folk, rock and funk music. Linsea Moon Waugh is the opener.

Meatless Monday Supper Club: Mexican Style at Whole Foods Market, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For $20, you can reserve a seat in the grocery store's cooking classroom and dine on a three-course menu with other people, who at least sometimes, say "no, thank you" to meat. Whole Foods promise: "you won't even know the meat is missing." Reserve a seat here.

Snowshoeing Basics at REI, 1466 North Halsted St., 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

This is probably a skill worth having. The outdoor sports and apparel store is holding a special class at its store teaching about the basics of snowshoeing, helping people select the right gear. Sign up in advance for the free event.

And don't forget, these 17 neighborhood restaurants are offering special menus during Restaurant Week.
