LAKEVIEW — An annual Wrigley Field year-in-review meeting has been canceled due to extreme weather.

The Wrigley Field Community Meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening in the Town Hall Police Station community room has been nixed in light of subzero temperatures expected to continue through Wednesday, according to an update from Ald. Tom Tunney (44th).

The community meeting is mandated by ordinance. It's an opportunity for neighbors to hear reviews and reports of the past season from the Cubs and city agencies such as police, the department of transportation and streets and sanitation.

It's also an opportunity for neighbors to voice comments and concerns about the last baseball season.

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill warning Monday that will be in effect until Wednesday. Wind chills on Monday are expected to reach some 25 to 35 degrees below zero.

Tunney's office said it will post the rescheduled date on Facebook as soon as it's determined.
