CHICAGO — A man died and four others were wounded after gunfire erupted at a party in a Back of the Yards lounge early Saturday morning, police said.

The shooting occurred at Rudy's Lounge, 5101 S. Union Ave., after security escorted out two men who weren't invited to a private party, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.

At 12:52 a.m., shots were fired into the lounge from outside, wounding five people.

A 35-year-old man, identified as Elsaleem Mannte'el by authorities, was shot in his head and pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 1:38 a.m.

Ambulances took two other men, a 37-year-old shot in his neck and a 40-year-old with a graze wound to his head, to Stroger. Both are in "stable" condition.

A 34-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man took themselves to Provident Hospital. The woman was then taken to Stroger, where a graze wound to her neck is in "stable" condition. The man, who was grazed in his arm, had been treated and release from Provident.

No one is in custody.

In other overnight shootings, a man was killed in Armour Square and a woman was wounded in Humboldt Park.
