WEST LOOP — The Garage's Dan Salls wants you to eat fast food.

As long as he's the one doing the cooking.

Through the week of Jan. 20, the food truck co-op will pay homage to classic American-style fast food — but with "healthier, more imaginative and just plain tastier" options.

The Garage opened in May and serves rotating lunch items from various Chicago food trucks, including Salls' own Salsa Truck.

On Monday, the lunch spot, 116 N. Aberdeen St., transformed into "Dragon Express" and offered Chinese food, Tuesday's Taco Campana had Doritos walking tacos and mini churros.

Here's the line up for the rest of the week:

Wednesday: CHUB-WAY- sub sandwiches from West Loop sub shop J.P. Grazianos along with sides from the team at The Garage.

Thursday: CHICAGO FRIED CHICKEN - Items include classic fried chicken and sides along with a few “Chi Style” takes on the fried chicken sandwich.

Friday: McDOWELL’S- a gourmet fast food burger spot, with menu items like a “Royale with Cheese Burger” and a boneless rib sandwich.

Lunch hours are from 11 a.m to 2:30 p.m., with dinner beginning at 4 p.m. and going until the fast food runs dry.
