CHICAGO — A man who authorities said barricaded himself in a Rogers Park apartment after a "domestic disturbance" on Sunday has been charged with a felony, police said.
Rozell R. Pullum, 30, of the 1300 block of West Birchwood Avenue, was charged with felony aggravated domestic battery, police said. He was also charged with a parole violation, according to police.
Cops said that when they responded to the situation in the same block where Pullum lives about 2 p.m. Sunday, Pullum barricaded himself inside the apartment.
A 49-year-old woman was able to make it out and was taken to St. Francis Hospital with a leg injury, police said. Her relationship with Pullum was not immediately clear.
Officers "were able to resolve the situation" and took Pullum into custody about 5:25 p.m., cops said in a statement.
Pullum is expected to appear in bond court on Tuesday.
