CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized after he and an aquaintance got into an argument that turned physical in Irving Park early Wednesday.

The 36-year-old man was drinking with another man in the 4100 block of West Belle Plaine Avenue about 1 a.m. when they got into a verbal argument that escalated, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

The man sufferd a "minor puncture wound" to his face during the fight, Sedevic said.

He was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition and declined to press charges, Sedevic said. No one was arrested.
