LINCOLN SQUARE — Nothing like being cooped up in the house for a couple of days to make common clutter suddenly seem unbearable.

Instead of tossing unwanted items into the trash, consider donating them to St. Matthias, which is collecting clothing, toys and more for an upcoming children's rummage sale.

The sale isn't actually scheduled until April, but the folks at St. Matthias are clearly already thinking spring, with several days announced for donation drop-offs.

In-demand items include nursery and children's furniture (no drop side cribs), diaper bags, newborn to pre-teen clothing and shoes, puzzles and games, sports equipment, toys and baby gear (no car seats).

Drop off items from 7:50-8:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthias School, 4910 N. Claremont Ave., or 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the St. Matthias convent, 4927 N. Claremont Ave.

Additional collection dates and times will be announced via Facebook.
