CHICAGO — The Yellow Line is back in service after it was suspended by the derailment of a train pulling into the Howard Street station, according to the CTA.
The incident occurred about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday when a train carrying three passengers was pulling into the station, said Catherine Hosinski, an agency spokeswoman.
The passengers exited the train through the front door with no injuries, Hosinski said.
The line resumed operation at 5:20 p.m., according to CTA officials.
The CTA had shuttle buses running between the three Yellow Line stations until the trains are back in service, Hosinski said.
The incident also caused minor delays for the Red and Purple lines.
