LINCOLN SQUARE — CPS students have now been on an extended winter break since Dec. 20. That's 400-plus hours and counting — just ask parents.

With temperatures expected to reach above zero Tuesday afternoon, sufferers from cabin fever might want to consider venturing out to Bloom Yoga, 4663 N. Rockwell St., which is offering a Tween Yoga class at 4:30 p.m.

Geared toward children ages 8 to 12, the hourlong class requires no prior experience and drop-ins are welcome. The focus, according to a description on Bloom's website, is improving balance, coordination and concentration, as well as teaching breathing techniques tweens can use whenever they feel the need to calm down and relax.

Cost is $12 for children with a valid student ID. Yoga mat rental is an additional dollar.

Bloom offers Tween Yoga from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays; Kids Yoga for 5- to 7-year-olds from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesdays; and Teen Yoga for 13- to 17-year-olds from 4:30-5:45 p.m. Mondays.
