Boy, 13, Charged with Murder of 16-year-old in Domestic Dispute

CHICAGO — Police have charged a 13-year-old boy with first-degree murder after the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Bronzeville.

The 13-year-old boy is expected to appear in Juvenile Court ON Monday, police said.

Raymond Galloway, 16, was shot in his head in the 500 block of East 38th Place about 5:50 a.m. Sunday during an argument with the 13-year-old family member, said Officer Jenel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman.

The slain teen was identified as Raymond Galloway of the 4300 block of South Champlain Avenue taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 7:32 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

In other gun violence, a 20-year-old man was shot in Gage Park Saturday night.
