CHICAGO — Police have issued a community alert following a string of Near West Side robberies in which a man implies he has a gun before demanding money.

Surveillance images show the man entering and robbing businesses in Humboldt Park, Logan Square and Ukrainian Village. The three the incidents occurred on the 3200 block of West North Avenue, the 3500 block of West Armitage Avenue and the 1300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to police.

All three robberies took place in the morning and early afternoon hours on Dec. 29-30.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-46 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3, 160 to 220 pounds, medium complexion, and wearing a black ski cap, beige/tan jacket and blue jeans.
