New Year's Eve Guide for Logan Square, Avondale and Humboldt Park

CHICAGO — Neighborhood favorites Scofflaw and the Whistler's new year's parties may have sold out early, but there are plenty of other bars and restaurants in hosting their own events to help ring in 2014.

Here's are some other ways to celebrate the new year in Logan Square, Avondale and Humboldt Park.

Yusho, 2853 N. Kedzie Ave. will offer a special six-course tasting menu with seatings at 6 and 9 p.m., plus a champagne toast at midnight.

The price is $99 for the tasting, or a $145 with pairings.

 

Go Tavern and Liquors, 3219 W. Armitage Ave., will have drink specials beginning at 8 p.m. with a champagne toast at midnight.

No cover.

 

Table, Donkey & Stick, 2728 W. Armitage Ave., will offer a special tasting menu for $75 or $120 with pairings.

 

The California Clipper, 1002 N. California Ave. will host a special show with Dan Whitaker & the Shinebenders.

Show at 10 p.m. $10 cover charge includes champagne toast and party favors.

 

Quenchers Saloon, 2401 N. Western Ave., will host a special New Year's Eve show featuring Furious Frank, the Amen Brothers, Pirates and Pinto & the bean.

Tickets are $10. Doors open at 8:30 p.m.

 

Late Bar, 3534 W. Belmont Ave., will host a dance party with DJ Dave Roberts and a champagne toast at midnight.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

 

The Radler, 2375 N. Milwaukee Ave., will offer a special new year's eve tasting menu for $55, with an optional $20 pairing.

 

Billy Sunday, 3143 W. Logan Blvd., will offer special cocktails and a special menu beginning at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $20.

 

D’Noche, 2710 N. Milwaukee Ave., will offer two parties (6:30-8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-2 a.m.) that include a three-course meal and a two-hour open bar. The second seating will include a champagne toast at midnight.

The 6:30 p.m. seating is $65 and the 9 p.m. seating is $75.

The Burlington, 3425 W. Fullerton Ave., will have its usual mix of local bands (New Year's Eve will feature the Kuhls, Grandkids and Sons of the West), but with $5 glasses of champagne all night.

Cover charge is $8. Doors open at 8 p.m.

 

Suite 25, 2529 N. Milwaukee Ave. will offer a $35 New Year's Eve package that includes an appetizer, buffet, two drink tickets, a champagne toast and music by Dino Latino.

 

Rosa’s Lounge, 3420 W. Armitage, Chicago's "friendliest blues lounge," will host a special New Year's Even show with Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues.

Tickets are $25. Doors open at 8 pm.

 

The Rocking Horse, 2535 N. Milwaukee Ave., will offer drink specials, a special holiday cocktail and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

No cover.

 

Cole’s, 2338 N. Milwaukee Ave., will host a free New Year's Eve dance party with DJ D-rek playing funk, soul, disco and rap. Partygoers are encouraged to get there before 10 p.m. as it is expected to fill up.

The Owl, 2521 N. Milwaukee Ave., will host a free "Hot Buttered Boogie" dance party with DJs Jerome Derradji and Duane Harriott beginning at 8 p.m. The Owl is open until 4 a.m.

No cover.
