CHICAGO — Three pedestrians, including a 71-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man, were critically hurt in a hit-and-run along Devon Avenue in West Rogers Park Sunday night, police said.

The three were crossing Devon Avenue northbound at Campbell Avenue at about 8:35 p.m. when they were hit by a man driving a black four-door car, believed to be a Toyota Avalon, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The driver, who was traveling west on Devon when the pedestrians were hit, continued on and made a left onto Maplewood Avenue, where he struck a Honda Odyssey, Estrada said.

The driver took off, and no one was in custody as of Monday morning.

A 71-year-old woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition, Estrada said. A 68-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were both taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, also in critical condition.

The driver inside the Honda Odyssey was not injured, Estrada said.

Cops said anyone with information about the incident can call Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521.
