CHICAGO — The driver involved in a car crash that killed a teenager Saturday morning is being questioned, police said.
The single-car crash occurred in the 5000 block of South Western Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood about 1:55 a.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
The car was traveling south when the driver appeared to lose control and crashed it into a tree.
A 19-year-old passenger was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:44 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. The teen was identified as Tashon Krzysiek, of the 3800 block of West Arthington Street.
