Cops Warn of Wicker Park, East Village Burglaries

CHICAGO — Cops warned residents of burglaries that happened last week in Wicker Park and East Village. 

In each break-in, a man got into apartments by forcing open back or side doors and windows, cops said. The man then stole things from the apartments, according to police.

The most recent burglary happened in the 2100 block of West Division Street during the day on Dec. 6, according to a community alert.

Before that, there was a burglary in the 900 block of North Wood Street during the evening of Dec. 3 and one in the 1000 block of North Wood Street during the day on Dec. 2, according to the alert.

The suspect was described in the alert as a black man age 25 to 30, 5-foot-9 and weighing 140 pounds.

Cops declined to give additional details about the incidents.
