OLD TOWN — For the second year in a row Old Town was ranked the most popular neighborhood in the country, according to Realtor.com.

Old Town beat out McKinney, Texas, Wellington in West Palm Beach, Fla., and Pembroke Pines in Hollywood, Fla., for the top spot.

The website based the rankings on which neighborhoods were searched for most by potential home owners or renters. Coming out on top was the 60610 zip code.

60610's mix of shopping, nightlife, restaurants, the beach and proximity to both Downtown, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast are a big reason for the interest, according Lauren Mitrick, of Newman Realty, who is cited in Realtor.com's rankings.
