Four Shot on South Side Tuesday Afternoon

CHICAGO — At least four men were wounded in Tuesday afternoon shootings on the South Side, including three in the same incident in Chatham, police said.

Three men were shot in the 8200 block of South Evans Avenue about 4:40 p.m., said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.

A 21-year-old was shot in his leg and took himself to Jackson Park Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

A 32-year-old shot in his back and a 35-year-old shot in his buttocks were both listed as "stable" at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

In a separate shooting in the Brainerd neighborhood, an 18-year-old man was shot in his right leg in the 1700 block of West 90th Place about 3:50 p.m., Zala said. He was taken to Christ and is in good condition.
