SOUTH LOOP — Spring Awakening Music Festival will bring its three-day DJ-centric event to Soldier Field June 13-15 next summer, festival organizers announced Monday.
A small quantity of three-day passes went up for presale on the festival's website at noon Monday. They sold out "in record time," according to a release from festival organizers.
Last year, more than 90,000 people bought tickets to some or all of the three-day event.
Headliners at five-year-old event have included Benny Benassi, Skrillex and Afrojack. Bassnectar and Moby were on last year's lineup.
The festival premiered as a one-day event in 2008, and added an extra day when Spring Awakening made the move in 2012 to Soldier Field.
Last year, React Presents added a Friday show to the festival, pitting it head-to-head against other big-ticket Chicago music festivals with a Friday-to-Monday lineup spread that summer.
Electronic music fans can get updates on upcoming pre-sale events by signing up for text message alerts on the festival's website.
