Four Stabbed in Attacks in Rogers Park, South Austin

CHICAGO — Three people were stabbed Sunday morning in Rogers Park and another man was stabbed hours before in South Austin.

Around 7:30 a.m., three people were stabbed in the 7400 block of North Ridge Avenue in Rogers Park, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a police spokeswoman. All three are in their 30s, fire officials said.

Two of the people stabbed were taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and another person was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Two people were listed in stable condition and another was listed in critical condition, Sedevic said.

Police said the attacker was one of the three people stabbed during a confrontation and is in custody.

In a separate incident, a man was stabbed in the head and neck around 3:50 a.m. while in the 300 block of North Laramie Avenue in South Austin. He was taken to Loyola Hospital in stable condition, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.
