CHICAGO — Anticipating a crush of travelers heading out of town ahead of Thanksgiving, the Chicago Transit Authority is increasing the number and lengths of 'L' trains Wednesday.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, trains on the Blue and Orange lines, which serve O'Hare and Midway airports respectively — as well as on the Red Line — will run more frequently.

Brown, Green and Orange line trains will be longer beginning Wednesday afternoon.

The CTA will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Thursday before resuming normal operation Friday.
