CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized after he was shot Tuesday evening on a North Lawndale sidewalk, police said.
The shooting occurred at 5:12 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Christiana Avenue, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
A 23-year-old man standing on the sidewalk was shot in his back and right arm by someone in a car.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
