CHICAGO —  A 30-year-old man whose family launched a citywide search for him when he disappeared after a Halloween party in West Town has been found dead.

Emmanuel "Manny" Dominguez was found with multiple stab wounds in Gary two days after he went missing, according to ABC Chicago.

Dominguez, who is survived by seven siblings and his parents who flew in from St. Louis to search for him, lived in an apartment in Summit with his brothers, according to his brother-in-law Mauricio Vergara, who spoke with DNAinfo Chicago earlier this month.

"Myself and the family are grateful for the overwhelming show of support and all the encouragement, it's been a godsend in this difficult moment... We see some type of closure, we have him," Vergara said Friday.

Dominguez is survived by his parents, Teresa and Javier Dominguez, siblings Sylvia Martinez, Lupe Dominguez, Lila Vergara, Miro Dominguez, Javier Dominguez, Jr., Angel Dominguez and Jorge Dominguez.

At Dana Hotel, where Dominguez worked as a bartender for the last six months, spokeswoman Lianna Clark said Friday that, "It's never easy losing one of your own. We are saddened by his loss, and our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this time."

A wake for Dominguez will be held Sunday at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., in Chicago Ridge.
