CHICAGO — A home on the market for $2.6 million includes an airy 30-foot atrium and elaborate fireplaces among its more singular features, according to a real estate listing.
The brick and limestone house at 1824 N. Mohawk St. was listed for sale by Susan Johnson of Coldwell Banker in May for $2.725 million before it was brought down to its current price in July, according to real estate website Zillow.
It was built in 1999, according to its listing.
The single-family home has two bedrooms on the second floor plus other areas that can be converted into bedrooms, Johnson said. The residence has three full bathrooms plus a half bathroom.
A 30-foot atrium includes several flights of stairs that ascend up through the home's three levels, making it a home tall people "would love," Johnson said.
Other highlights include a gourmet kitchen with an island and designer cabinets, according to the listing.
During the warmer months, a deck and a terrace provide spots to soak up sun. In the winter, the residents can make use of the fireplaces Johnson said are in five rooms.
