WICKER PARK — Looking for a brush with celebrity as you unwind from the work week?

On Friday night, Wicker Park's Moonshine at 1824 W. Division St. plans to stay open during the filming of a scene for "Mind Games," a new ABC drama starring Christian Slater.

The scene, expected to take up about a third of the restaurant, will involve actors sitting at tables in front of windows facing Division Street, while cameras will be filming from the "outside looking in" to the restaurant, explained Moonshine's marketing manager Greg Bauer.

In advance of the filming, Aaron Michael Wells, a location assistant from 20th Century Fox Television, was putting up bright orange fliers Wednesday notifying residents and business owners of parking restrictions.

From 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, no parking will be allowed on either side of Division Street between Wood and Honore, as well as on side streets such as Honore and Wolcott between Division and Thomas streets, according to the flier.

Wells said production crews are currently working on filming episode eight of 12, and are "more than halfway through" the show's first season.

"Mind Games" is one of several television shows that has filmed in the area recently. "Chicago Fire," HGTV's "House Hunters," "Chicago Fire" spinoff "Chicago PD" and "Sirens," which upset some neighbors when a bullhorn awoke them at 1 a.m., have also been drawn to Wicker Park.

Estimated to bring millions of dollars into the economy as well as provide hundreds of local jobs, the filming is seen as a boon to the city as well as businesses.

"We are excited, we're privileged," Bauer said.
