LAKEVIEW — Two men were robbed at gunpoint late Monday in the city's Lakeview neighborhood.

The two men, ages 20 and 48, were in the 3800 block of North Marshfield Avenue about 11 p.m. Monday. The 48-year-old man was sitting inside a car while the 20-year-old man was scraping snow off the car, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

Two men, one of whom had a gun, approached the 20-year-old and demanded money. They took the man's cash and wallet and told him to run away, which he did, Greer said.

The two men then robbed the 48-year-old man of his cash and a cellphone before punching him in the mouth and fleeing.

The 48-year-old man refused medical attention. No one was in custody as of Tuesday morning, police said.
