CHICAGO — In the mood for some live music? Some of the best picks for Wednesday night in the neighborhood include acts at Park West and Lincoln Hall or an improvised musical comedy show.

Jake Shimabukuro at Park West, 322 W. Armitage Ave. 7:30 p.m. 

Hawaiian musician Jake Shimabukuro, known for his skill with the ukulele and for blending multiple genres of music, plays Park West for $40. The show is restricted to those 18 and older.

Sparks at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 8 p.m. 

The L.A. rock band Sparks, which was formed by brothers Ron and Russell Mael in 1971, plays Lincoln Hall. Tickets are $30, and the show is restricted to those 18 and older. 

"BEST MUSICAL! A Completely improvised Musical Comedy" at UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Ave., 8 p.m.

In this two-hour show, actors improvise musicals using suggestions from the audience. Catch the last "BEST MUSICAL" show of the season tonight for $20.
