CHICAGO — Two men are in serious condition after they were shot in unrelated attacks Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times in Englewood, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
The man was rushed to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. Police said he was unable to talk after the shooting, which occurred in the 6100 block of South Morgan Street.
About 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, a 60-year-old man was shot in his stomach during an attempted robbery in Austin, Gaines said. The man was in the 5000 block of West Division Street when the would-be robber approached.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, but no further information was available early Wednesday.
No one was in custody for either shooting.
