CHICAGO — Cure your case of the Mondays with comedy, original compositions and existential art.

35 Years of Comedy

Zanies Comedy Night Club, 1548 N. Wells St., is celebrating 35 years serving up laughs in Chicago by inviting "35 Chicago Comedians" on stage. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., and while it is free, there is a two-item minimum. Call 312-337-4027 to make reservations. A list of comedians performing can be found on Zanies website, and includes Candy Lawrence, Tim Harrison and The Puterbaugh Sisters, whose act you can see below.

The DePaul University School of Music is hosting its Composers Forum, a quarterly concert of compositions made and performed by its students. The concert will be held at the DePaul Concert Hall, 800 W. Belden Ave., at 8 p.m.

Last Few Days to See David Gista's "Existential" Painting Series

Chicago-based artist David Gista's "Mysterious Islands" series enters its final days, with Monday being one of the last days you can see it at Thomas Masters Gallery, 245 W. North Ave. The paintings on display through Tuesday shows Gista's "quest to express inarticulate but profound existential dilemmas." The final day of the display is Tuesday.
