UPTOWN — Northbound Red Line trains won't stop in Uptown on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Chicago Transit Authority.

The Wilson, Lawrence and Argyle stations will all be bypassed by trains headed toward the end of the line, at Howard, CTA said in an "L" train service alert.

"We are performing structural maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line," said the alert.

CTA advised people seeking service to the skipped stations to take a northbound train to the Berwyn stop in Edgewater and transfer to a 95th-bound train. And for service from the stations, CTA said riders should take a southbound train to the Sheridan stop in Lakeview and transfer to a northbound train.

The agency said the work could affect the quality of Train Tracker predictions, and that travelers should allow extra travel time when planning trips.
