CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot in Homan Square Tuesday morning, police said.

The 19-year-old victim was shot in his right shoulder in the 3600 block of West Lexington Street about 7:15 a.m., according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

He either drove himself or was driven by someone else to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody for the shooting.
