Man Killed in Auburn Gresham

AUBURN GRESHAM — A 39-year-old man was shot to death in Auburn Gresham Saturday night.

The man was standing in the 600 block of West 89th Street when he was approached by three people, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman. Someone from the group pulled a gun and shot the man in his head.

Fredrick Ollie, 39, of the 8900 block of South Union Avenue, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center at 7:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Six other people have been wounded in shootings since Friday night, police said.
