WICKER PARK —  True to its reputation for being hip and eclectic as well as teeming with youngsters, Wicker Park and its surrounding neighborhoods are offering plenty of ways to get your spook on during Halloween week.

Friday, Oct. 25.

5 to 10 p.m.  Haunted Mansion for Kids and Adults.  Explore an old Park District field house that's been transformed into a basement graveyard. Adult entry fee is $10; kids cost $3. Pulaski Park, 1419 W. Blackhawk St. in Noble Square.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Haunted Indoor Drive-In Movie.  Watch "Twilight Saga: New Moon." Admission is free; children must be accompanied by adults. Park field house, 1425 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park.

7:30 p.m. Pegasus Presents "Blacula: Young, Black & Undead." Tickets cost $18-$25. Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. in West Town.

8 p.mMind Shivers with ESP Legend Sidney Friedman. A renown psychic combines music with mind games. Cost is $20 with two-drink minimum. Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

8 p.m.  8 Days of Halloween for Music Lovers Begins. Select any four shows through Nov. 1. Tickets are $40 for all four shows. Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. in Ukrainian Village.

8 p.m. The  S-- Show's Spocktober Comedy Night. Comic Rasa Gierstikas hosts a free 21-and-over comedy variety show. The Shambles, 2050 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

9 p.m. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Live. Underscore Theatre's live production of the classic movie promises music, camp and plenty of drama at The Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

Saturday, Oct. 26

8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.: "Bites for Bytes" Pancake Breakfast.  Enjoy a short ($3) or big ($5) stack of pancakes and help raise money for new computers. Pritzker School, 2009 W. Schiller St. in Wicker Park.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  5th Annual Boo-palooza.  A few thousand people and three aldermen are expected at the park's annual event featuring costume contests, pumpkin decorating, apple bobbing, a corn maze, bingo, and more.  The kid's costume contest is at 11 a.m., with dogs parading around the fountain promptly at noon. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Neighborhood Trick or Treating. Over 30 local businesses will be opening up their doors and offering treats to kids.  For a map of where to go, click here. 

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The NOSH Weekly Food Fest. Head to a parking lot packed with pancakes, lobster rolls and breakfast bites, offered by vendors and food trucks who will head to Logan Square come November. Pritzker School, 2009 W. Schiller St. in Wicker Park.

2 to 3:15 p.m.  Family-Friendly Halloween Party in the Park.  A costume parade, crafts and games will all be found at Commercial Park, 1845 W. Rice St. in East Village.

5 to 10 p.m.: Haunted Mansion for Kids and Adults. Pulaski Park, 1419 W. Blackhawk St. in Noble Square.

9 p.m. to 12 a.m.: Wicked Beatz Costume Party Fundraiser. Wear a 90s era costume while dancing to music by DJs Mark Flava and Timbuck2. Cost is $10, with free admission if you arrive in costume before 11 p.m. FAME, 2015 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

8 p.m. Mind Shivers with ESP Legend Sidney Friedman at Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

9 p.m. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Live at Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

9 p.m.  Fantasy + Fetish Ball. Go kinky and vie for a $350 cash prize while enjoying $20 "fantasy fish bowls" and $5 Fetish bomb shots. Fatpour Tapworks, 2005 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

9 p.m.  Dr. Marten's Halloween Costume Contest.  Munch on "Zombie Tacos" and compete for free shoes and gift certificates. High Noon Saloon, 1560 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

10 p.m.  Halloween Costume Party with Smashing Pumpkin Shots.  Snag a $100, $50 or $25 gift certificate while imbibing in themed drink and shot specials. Tuman's Tap and Grill, 2159 W. Chicago Ave. in Ukrainian Village.

Sunday, Oct. 27

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wicker Park Farmers Market. There's nothing scary about a farmers market but it's the last one of the season, so be forewarned. After Sunday, some of the farmers will head to indoor confines in Logan Square.  Wicker Park, 1425 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  "Sweet Home" Dose Market. The theme of this week's market is stuff you can enjoy in your home on a cold day, like cider, chocolate, brownies and bacon on a bed of mac and cheese. Admission is $5, or free if you bring non-perishable food to donate. Chop Shop's 1st Ward, 2033 W. North Ave. in Wicker Park.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Bitter Betty Indoor Bazaar. Explore an entire dive bar's worth of vintage fashions, jewelry, crafts, snacks, and psychic readings. Innertown Pub at 1935 W. Thomas St. in East Village.

2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Halloween Trick or Treat Walk for Dogs. Bring your dog and go trick or treating to 30 participating businesses in West Town. $5 suggested donation per family. Meet at North Community Bank, 1244 W. Grand Ave. in West Town.

6 p.m. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Live. The Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

7 p.m.  "Horror Movie Night" and three-course meal inside a funeral parlor turned diner.  Watch "The Shining" or "Carrie" while partaking in a $9.95 three-course meal. Delish Diner, 2018 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

Thursday, Oct. 31

7 p.m.  Halloween Spectacular. Mucca Pazza, Mark the Knife and local DJs will perform and attendees get two free shots, a trick or treat bag and game tokens. Cost is $15. Emporium Arcade Bar, 1366 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

7:30 p.m. Pegasus Presents "Blacula: Young, Black & Undead." Tickets range between $18-$25. Chicago Dramatist Theatre, 1105 W. Chicago Ave. in West Town.

8 p.m. Sex Therapy as Janis Joplin headline Double Door's 17th Annual Halloween Bash. Several local bands will perform KISS and Queens of Stone Age songs as DJ Erik channels Axel Rose. Tickets are $10.  Double Door, 1572 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.

8 p.m. Yacht-O-Ween Party. Indulge in a “captain’s dinner” meal package that includes four drink tickets and beach backdrop photo opps. Tickets are $40 and reservations are required online. Division Ale House, 1942 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.

8:30 p.m.  Occupy Chicago activists plan to descend upon Wicker Park, according to a tweet announcing, "Capitalism gives us the creeps." Wicker Park fountain, 1425 N. Damen Ave.

10 p.m. Halloween Party for The Police, Nirvana Fans. Two local bands will perform The Police's "Synchronicity" and Nirvana's "Unplugged" albums.  Jerry's Sandwiches, 1928 W. Division St. in Wicker Park.
