Police Warn of Armed Robberies at Ashburn Motel

ASHBURN — Police are alerting Ashburn residents about a string of armed robberies at a motel.

The thieves entered motel rooms in the 8500 block of South Cicero Avenue, produced a gun and robbed the victims, according to a community alert. The robberies happened October 13 at 9:05 p.m. and October 21 at 9:55 p.m.

Police describe the robbers as two black men between the ages of 20-30 between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10, weighing 170 pounds.

Police warn residents to remain calm if confronted by a robber and not to pursue. Anyone with information can call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
