CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in his back in Chatham Monday afternoon.
Cops found the victim about 3:15 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Ellis Avenue, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
The man — whose name was being withheld pending family notification — was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:15 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No further details were immediately available.
