CHICAGO — Police are warning Chicago Lawn residents of a recent spike in armed robberies.

Two people were recently robbed by one or two men who took their property through physical force by showing a weapon, according to a community alert.

The victims were robbed about 3:35 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 3400 block of West 66th Street and about 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 3400 block of West 65th Place, police said.
