LAKEVIEW — Look for red balloons in Lakeview this weekend.
A dozen homes belonging to members of the Hawthorne Neighbors group will be selling everything from home goods to electronics for the group's second year of garage sales, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Hawthorne Neighbors boundaries are Belmont on the south, Addison on the north, Clark on the east and Racine on the west. Homes participating in the sale will be denoted with a red balloon.
The MEGA Garage Sale was created to help support the neighborhood group and its programming, such as summer Movies in the Park at Hawthorne Academy, according to Hawthorne Neighbors President Kevin McIntyre.
This past summer, the group sponsored films such as "Brave" and "Wreck-It Ralph."
