BELMONT CRAGIN — A 22-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound in the leg Tuesday morning, but police said he was too drunk to remember how he was shot.

Police were called to the 5000 block of West Dickens Avenue in Belmont Cragin about 11 p.m. Monday where they found the man with the gunshot wound in the leg, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

The man was taken in an ambulance to Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center where his condition stabilized.

The "intoxicated victim" told police he did not remember how he was shot, Greer said. No other details surrounding the shooting were available.
