CHICAGO — A man was killed and three other people were injured in separate incidents throughout the city Sunday.

A 28-year-old man died after being shot in his upper chest in the 300 block of South Cicero Avenue in Austin about 2:05 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.

Police responded to a call of a person shot and discovered the man in a gas station lot with a bullet wound in his upper chest.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition. He was pronounced dead there at 5 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical's Examiner's Office. He was identified as Lionel Johnson, 29, of the 4300 block of West Jackson Drive.

In nonfatal shootings:

• At 6:58 p.m., a man was shot in the leg and buttocks on the first block of West 105th Street and taken to Christ Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said. The man was standing in front of a home when he heard shots, felt pain and realized he had been shot, police said.

• A man was shot in his back in the 2100 block of West Fullerton Avenue while driving in Logan Square at 3 a.m., police said. The 27-year-old man decided to keep driving until he notified cops in the 8900 block of South Indiana Avenue in Chatham. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he is listed in "stable" condition.

• In Roseland, a 23-year-old woman was shot in her back about 12:30 a.m. in the first block of East 102nd Place, Greer said. She was outside when she heard shots and felt pain. The woman was taken to Christ and her condition has stabilized.
