One Dead, Two Wounded in Overnight Shootings

CHICAGO — One man was killed and at least two others wounded in shootings Thursday night.

In West Garfield Park, a 22-year-old man was fatally shot in his back about 7:40 p.m. Thursday, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

Cops responded to a call about shots fired in the 4400 block of West Adams Street and found the man unresponsive in an alley.

Reginald Jackson, 22, of the 1800 block of West Maypole Avenue, was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:04 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

In non-fatal shootings: 

• A 26-year-old man was shot in his right leg during a drive-by in West Pullman, Alfaro said. The man was standing in the 200 block of East 120th Place when someone in a car opened fire about 11:20 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

• In South Deering, a 23-year-old man was shot in his left thigh during a drive-by about 9:40 p.m. Thursday, Alfaro said. The man was on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of East 102nd Street when someone in a red sedan began shooting.

The man was treated at Advocate Trinity Hospital.
