CHICAGO — A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a North Center man who was found on the porch of his home early Tuesday, police said.

Christopher Shoji, 25, was charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of Salomon Morales, 25, authorities said.

Morales was found bleeding from stab wounds on the left side of his chest, side and stomach about 4:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 4200 block of North Damen Avenue. He was disoriented and couldn't tell authorities what happened, police said.

He later died at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Shoji, of the 2000 block of West Warner Avenue, was arrested Tuesday and is schedule to appear in Central Bond Court Thursday, officials said.

Shoji was also charged with production of a cannabis, less than five plants, a misdemeanor.
