Man Shot in His Head Monday Dies

CHICAGO — A man shot in the head in South Shore Monday has died, officials said.

Tavache Kizer, 38, was shot about 3:45 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Dorchester Avenue. He was approached by two men on foot who ran north after the shooting, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Kizer, of the 7600 block of South Phillips Avenue, was rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead there at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
