LAKEVIEW — A man who thought he had a deal to buy a computer from a man on Craigslist instead was greeted with a gun and a robbery when he met the seller Monday evening, the victim told police.

The two men met about 4:15 p.m. Monday in the 3300 block of North Kenmore so that the victim could buy a computer from the robber, according to Ald. Tom Tunney (44th).

The computer's seller pulled a gun on the victim and fired at shot at him, but didn't hit him, the victim told police.

No shell casing was found at the scene, though, police said.

The robber took $1,100 from the victim, he said. Police are investigating.
