CHICAGO — A half-naked man attempted to sexually assault a woman mid-day near the lakefront in Hyde Park, police said.
The man, who had his genitals exposed, grabbed the woman about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 5900 block of South Cornell Drive, according to a community alert.
The man pushed the woman to the ground and attempted to force her to perform oral sex, police said.
The alert describes the man as black, 16 to 20 years old, standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He has short, curly black hair and was wearing blue jeans and white leather gym shoes.
