CHICAGO — A man was badly burned after falling onto the electrified third rail at the Logan Square Blue Line 'L' Station Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Forest Park-bound Blue Line trains were halted for about 20 minutes at the station, resuming service with delays just before 5 p.m.

The man, whose age was unknown, fell on the tracks at the station at 2620 N. Milwaukee Ave. about 4:36, according to an alert from the CTA.

He was burned, having hit the third rail, and was taken to Advocate Illinois Medical Center in critical condition, said Larry Langford, fire department spokesman.

No further details were immediately available.
