LAKEVIEW — Police are seeking three men for armed robberies that happened in Lakeview over the weekend — including one man who hid his face with a clown mask.

The armed robberies happened on the 700 block of W. Melrose St. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2:15 a.m. and on the 3100 block of N. Clifton Ave. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2:46 a.m., according to a community alert.

The offenders took cell phones, purses, wallets and money. In one case, the victims were ordered to kneel on the ground, police said. Another victim reported that he became bruised after a gunman who wore a clown mask repeatedly struck him. 

Another suspect wore a ski mask or scarf to hide his face, the alert said.

According to police, the three suspects are black men in their 20's between 5'8" and 6'1" tall.
