UPTOWN — Uptown's Baker & Nosh is set to expand this fall — and it wants to celebrate by giving you free gelato.

Swing by Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to sample gelato flavors from Zarlengo's, a beloved Chicago Heights ice cream company that will be soon be featured at Baker & Nosh, 1303 W. Wilson Ave.

Baker & Nosh opened last year and is set to expand into a space next door, according to Jessica Morales, a spokeswoman for the baker.

As it expands, Baker and Nosh will offer shakes, additional frommage and charcuterie selections and fresh soups and salads.

The fall menu — which debuted last week — includes bacon and chive asiago scones ($4); pumpkin coffee cake ($2.50/slice); sour cherry muffins made with Seedling Farms cherries ($3); and treccia, an Italian brioche bread available in an orange and nutella swirl ($6-12).
