Three Men Shot in Separate Incidents on West, South Sides

CHICAGO — Three men were shot in separate shootings Monday afternoon and evening.

The latest occurred in the 1500 block of South Kedvale Avenue in North Lawndale at 6:26 p.m., said Officer Daniel O'Brien, a police spokesman.

A 22-year-old man took a bullet to his thigh and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition.

Fifteen minutes earlier, a 25-year-old man was shot in his hip and taken to Mount Sinai. He was shot in the 4500 block of West Jackson Boulevard in West Garfield Park.

On the South Side, a man was shot in his hand in Chatham about 2:15 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Maryland Avenue.

The 23-year-old victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
