Burglars Targeting River North Businesses, Cops Say

CHICAGO — Burglars have been targeting River North stores recently, police said Friday.

The burglar pries open the front door to the business and then steals items from inside, according to a community alert.

The thefts occurred at two locations in the 300 block of West Ohio Street between 6 p.m. Sept. 3 and 8 a.m. Sept. 4. Another burglary occurred about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 200 block of West Erie Street, police said.
